INSTALL McAFEE SAFEKEY
McAfee SafeKey gives you a secure vault to store all your passwords, helping you protect your identity. Remember one secure password to access all your favourite sites, without having to remember a password for each of them. Get set up now, with these easy steps.
We’re now ready to activate McAfee SafeKey from inside McAfee Central.
If you don’t have McAfee Central open yet, press the Windows home key on your keyboard and swipe across until you see the red McAfee Central icon. Double click that to open it.
Click on the "McAfee SafeKey" block in the lower left.
In the McAfee SafeKey screen look at the right column.
Click the white “Create” button to set up a new McAfee SafeKey account.
Enter your email address
Choose a new password for your McAfee SafeKey account. (This need not be the same as your main McAfee LiveSafe account password)
Make a note of the activation code that appears. You will need it again when installing on your devices.
Click the check box for the privacy and terms.
Click the blue “Create” button.
You’ll then see the “Your Vault” screen.
You can add sites and their passwords manually here. Or, when you are using your browser and visit a site that needs a log in, you will be asked if you want SafeKey to remember it for you.
Shield is grey?
Going back to your main desktop, at the top left of your browser (IE) there should be a small shield with a McAfee arrow on it. If it’s grey, click the icon, which brings up a “Log in” window.Next

Going back to your main desktop, at the top left of your browser (IE) there should be a small shield with a McAfee arrow on it. If it’s red, you’re all set up. Now when you visit a site that requires a log in and password, you can store them in your safe password vault.

Click the grey shield icon, which brings up a “Log in” window.
Log in to your SafeKey account with your email and SafeKey password
On your browser, the icon changes to red.
Now when you visit a site that requires a log in and password, you can store them with your McAfee SafeKey account.
